It's great for hard or solid flooring. For carpet or rugs... nope. It's like it has no wheels and you can barely run it back and forth. The head feels like it has good suction but on carpet, I don't think it's picking up anything down in the carpet. I thought it would be decent, but I wish I would have just spent $40 more and got a more heavy duty vacuum. It is light weight and it's trying to look like a Dyson, but definitely doesn't perform like one.
