I choked up the first few times reading it to my babe. Its really cute! The illustrations are bright and colorful. The illustrations show both gender adults and both gender children. It doesnt specifically mention a gender or parents. So it could be used for grandparents, parents, siblings, adoptive families anything. Its very neutral. And its very sweet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautifully written book for anyone who loves a child *by J***. on 4 March 2011* This book is beautifully written and I love that it can apply to any adult-child relationship. I was looking for a book for my adopted son and found this to be such a wonderful way to tell him how much I love him. It's well written and very touching-- for example:I can't imagine lifebefore you came along...me there singing senseless,no meaning to my song.Call it meant to beor simply blessed fate,you fill my heart with love...and for that I celebrateI feel very emotional after reading this book to my child because it does such a wonderful job of capturing my feelings. There are also lots of things going on in the illustration to even keep my toddler interested. He points out various things in the pictures like balls, dogs, butterflies, etc. and lets me read the whole book to him. I would recommend this book a must read to any child that you love whether he/she is biological, adopted, grandchild, etc. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! *by W***N on 4 September 2015* I received this as a gift for my baby shower, and my child loves it. The drawings could be a little better, in my opinion, but then again, it's not written for adults so why should it be illustrated to meet their expectations? This book is way better than "I'll love you forever".
