I am a woman with a larger head (7 3/8), or at least, I cannot wear the pitiful "one size fits most" that women's hats usually come in. I hoped this would be a little big on me but it pretty much fits. It was small on my brother's even larger head. Next I should comment on the squashed and folded shape in which it arrives: ha ha ha. I don't think that the hat will ever really look as rigid and perfect as the picture, but I was able to shape it up and wear it. I've used it to go kayaking and paddleboarding so I'm glad it has a string tie to hold it on when the wind kicks up or, god forbid, I fall in the lake. I won't actually be wearing this as a fashion statement so the pros outweigh the cons, and I'm kinda okay with the hat's failings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ My New Favorite and I'm Picky! *by A***C on February 8, 2019* When I took the hat out of the envelope, I immediately turned the wire brim to shape it as a western style hat. I ordered white. It is an off-white color; not bright white like in the picture. Otherwise, I'd have given 5 stars. It is made of braided polypropylene straw (plastic) but has the feel and softness of cotton. Knowing it is polypropylene, I'm not concerned with getting it wet or dirty while fishing. It won't hurt it. I ordered my normal hat size and it fits great. I'm a hat wearing man and am a bit picky. This immediately became my warm weather favorite. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A decent hat for the price but not exactly as advertised. *by H***S on August 8, 2018* It's not bright white like in the picture. It's more of an off-white, beige, or bone White, and it's not made out of straw.
