It works very well for this purpose and is about an hour faster for each type of drive (i.e. Seagate, Western Digital) I cloned, so that was pleasing too.The only surprise was that it will not clone to another drive unless the "to" drive is perceived to be empty, or so that is my experience. I have to use GParted or Parted Magic to clean the partitions from the drive before it will clone. After that small difficulty, it zips right along.Haven't tried it for copying or 2nd drive and so one but see no reason that shouldn't work as well.Very pleased with results. It lives up to its advertising. ### ⭐ doesnt work as advertised *by A***. on October 25, 2015* did not work !!!does not work as advertisedhighly annoyedyou are suppose to be able to put the drives in device stand alone and it starts to duplicatedidnt work i tried numerous times thought it was my fault because i purchased a 120 gig drive and orginal was 250 so i went and purchased a 500 gig still never started duplicatingplugged into computer it wouldnt read drives ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clone feature did not work for drives of equal size *by C***. on October 6, 2015* I can't speak to the cloning feature with small (source) to larger (target) drives, but a 500 gb traditional drive to 500 gb ssd clone failed. I was able to clone successfully to the SSD instead using free software and plugging the Liztek into a USB port on the source computer. Given that it is around the same price other products that do not have a stand-alone clone feature, I gave it 4 stars despite my disappointment with the stand-alone cloning.
