Vents are on top and bottom.** A: I would actually use 2 fans. One to push and one to pull. I used these for a Dish Network receiver which runs very hot inside the cabinet. I used one fan to blow air into the box and one fan to pull air out of cabinet. Like if you have 2 fans and wanted to run both through the same power supply, you'd plug one into the power supply and then the other fan through the second port on the first fan. **Q: I am thinking about buying this to cool off my PS3 original. should I get the single or dual fan?** A: Honestly I think dual fans are overkill. I'm using a single fan in my stereo cabinet with an Onkyo TX-NR737 head unit (125 watts into 7 channels, though I'm only using 3 powered by that amp) plus a Samsung UBD-M8500 Blu-ray and streaming player. That combination is easily putting out at least 500 watts (maybe more) of heat when it's running a good movie ... your PS3 doesn't do more than about 200 watts per Wikipedia. So the fact that one fan running only on medium speed, plus some decent vent holes, takes care of all the heat from my system means no way do you need 2 fans. Just make sure there's some good input/output air holes or grate or something to provide space for the air to flow through your cabinet, and a single fan should more than do the trick. **Q: What is the extension of the usb cord , is it 6ft or** A: It's about three feet, on mine. I have the AC Infinity thermostat, it has it's own power cord to the fans. On my cabinet, I have it powering three fans.
