The waist band is not tight, so you don’t get a muffin top. It does run large, however. I’m a full size 12, and I have a good amount of wiggle room in this skirt. I’m 5’2, 173 lbs and thicker in the middle and it still was not tight in the waist or anywhere else. In a large it fits like a business skirt; fitted but not tight at all and it’s just above my knee. Looks professional. If you’re a pear shaped girl with a tiny waist this might be an issue, but you can always wear a longer top over it. On the other hand, there’s room for tucking, so that could be a plus for some. If you want a snugger, sexier fit, get a size down. If you want it for work, get your regular size. The fabric is a light ponte. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Snags easily. *by J***T on July 17, 2018* I'm 5' 6, weigh 132lbs, purchased the small. I always struggle with what size to order because my measurements are B-35, W-32, H-36, so my waist is a little big compared to the rest of me and the size charts always throw me off because of my waist measurement. The size small fits good for me. For all those who struggle like me, here's the actual size of the small in inches when skirt is laid flat. W-14 1/2, L-17 3/4. The waist band stretches when pulled at least another 2-3 inches. The skirt is okay, a little rough to touch, but it does snag easy. Once snagged it leaves a taught stitch line, I got the black so line doesn't show too bad but not sure how bad it would show on other colors. Hope this info helps. Honestly, if sellers would list the sizes in actual inches when laid flat, even put a picture with a tape measure showing dimensions, I have seen some do it, I would buy a lot more. Does anyone agree? Maybe we could start a petition for it?? I got size medium and it fits great. You can wear it with the waist up or folded down. Either is comfortable and down stays put and doesn't add any bulk. It has a nice shape and is very stretchy so it's comfortable. I wish the black was a little darker but that may just be the material it's made of. I don't know what to call it, but it's not a jersey material. Overall it's a good skirt.
