Ok I have been a runner all my life all thru high school and now as a nurse my legs mean everything. I started to notice that I started to develop small little super veins down by my ankles. On the recommendation of from almost all of my nurse work colleagues I decided to try this style and brand a chance. Although thigh highs are definitely not my style not even in a million years , I will say this my legs don’t hurt and plus now I wear my nurse clogs. Of course I don’t wear them outside of work but then again I practically live at work and go visit my house occasionally. My feet and legs feel great after my shift (12 to 14 hours). Listen take it from me your health is more important than just dealing with the pain and leg restlessness. These thigh highs give me the right amount of compression (15mm-20mm) and they are thin enough that I can wear my Dansko clogs all day with no problems at all. These thigh highs with clogs are widely used among my nursing coworkers. These were super long. I'm 5"10 and there was even a bit of length to spare. I actually had to pull them down a bit so they would sit where I wanted. The toe area was looser and less restrictive than the rest of the stocking which was actually pretty comfortable. The stocking was nice and opaque and matte black. While the top bands seemed too snug at first I got accustomed to them and man do these stay up! No panels without sticky band but I don’t see a use for that anyway. Problem I find with all of them is that they are sized way too small. I get that they need to compress but it should not cause back injury to your caregiver just to get them on! I am an XL-1X (pretty evenly proportioned) and I bought larger and larger sizes until getting these XXL. They were a bit loose at the ankles and very tight at the thigh, but the biggest problem with these is the length. Of three brands these were the only ones that only went a couple inches above the knee. The other smaller sizes went to the top of the thigh. I think that’s the way they’re supposed to be.
