If you play 3.0 cane , get 2.5 Plasticover **Q: do you need to soak the reed before you play?** A: No, these reeds play without being wet. That is one of the reasons I use them. The reed doesn't dry out on stage when I am on break or playing my other horn. They also give a slightly buzzy sound to the sax (which I like). They may not last as long as regular cane reeds.
