**Q: Pics seem to show two different steamers: one sitting down in the pot, and one sitting on  rim, above pot.  Which?**
A: This item is three pieces. The lid, the steamer insert and the pot. Weirdest steamer I have ever owned, but happily the last. As with all my Staub purchases,  very satisfied.

**Q: Does it have the spike lid ?**
A: Yes.  All Staub with dark enameled interior have the spike lids.

**Q: What's the ‘steamer insert’ made of?**
A: STAINLESS STEEL With a Thick RUBBER RING ( Towards the Bottom ) to it From  Bashing  Against the Cast Iron Pot LIP !!!

**Q: How many cups of rice does this product allow you to make?**
A: Its  a  5 Qt Pot  !!!  SOoo, About  40 CUPS of Rice to the Very TOP !!!
