Review: Relatively Easy To Build And Educational - I have fond memories of building electricity education kits with my dad in the '90s. Now that I have a daughter who is learning about electricity and electronics, I get to teach her. I have a subscription to Mark Rober's Crunch Crates. One of them had two motors as part of the project. The motors got stuck together because of the magnets inside. It occurred to me that I hadn't show my daughter how motors actually worked. Building this kit with my daughter did exactly that!
Review: Good quality product and learning tool - It is a great learning tool, instructors include but could be printed in a larger size so as to see pictures better and maybe a sheet telling how it works or a YouTube location to go to for both instructions and how it works. I sill have it Five stars because it I well built and it works!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Anyone try to reverse the process and use mechanical energy to make a light bulb light up?**
A: I have not tried that, but a dc motor can also be used as a generator so I'm sure it will light a small light. Maybe an led? if correctly polarity is observed.

**Q: what is the rpm range of this?**
A: I have no idea what typical RPM is, over 60 I'm sure.  I gave two of them as gifts to High school students. The units do spin very nicely. RPM? Strange request, since this is typically just an educational science project for kids to help them grasp magnetic field effects by building a motor and pondering it a bit.  Far more memorable than looking a pages in a textbook. I have a signal counter but it would be a project to set up to measure frequency.. and the frequency (RPM)  would be very voltage dependent.  Perhaps you are stuck in analysis paralysis? Just buy one and play with it!

**Q: Are battery holders included?**
A: Yes! 4, 3 & 2 AA battery holders are included in the product.

**Q: Does the armature come with the wire already wound on it?**
A: Yes it is already wound. I helped my grandson assemble it about two years ago. It was better quality than I expected, and a good value.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very fun and educational project

This was a really fun project to do with my four-year-old son. It is simple to set up and a great way to show kids how electric motors work. You can use different numbers of batteries to make it spin faster or slower, which makes it even more interesting. You might want to use a soldering iron if you want the connections to stay tight, otherwise you can just wrap the wires around the posts. It works well, but sometimes the battery holder can get hot and cause cheaper batteries to leak. Still, even with that issue, I would definitely buy it again. It is a great little learning kit.
