Far more memorable than looking a pages in a textbook. I have a signal counter but it would be a project to set up to measure frequency.. and the frequency (RPM) would be very voltage dependent. Perhaps you are stuck in analysis paralysis? It is simple to set up and a great way to show kids how electric motors work. You can use different numbers of batteries to make it spin faster or slower, which makes it even more interesting. You might want to use a soldering iron if you want the connections to stay tight, otherwise you can just wrap the wires around the posts. It works well, but sometimes the battery holder can get hot and cause cheaper batteries to leak. Still, even with that issue, I would definitely buy it again.
