It is written from the perspective of the Dalai Lama’s cat but it also reflects the Dalai Lama’s teachings. Although considered to be fictional the stories accurately portray the geography, history and philosophy of Buddhism in the region. It is a most delightful read (especially if you’re a cat person.) Review: Excellent reminder to be mindful and present. - I am a huge fan of David Michie. His writing is engaging and fun, and he introduces readers to Buddhist philosophies in an easy-to-understand way that draws you in. This latest book, about the power of mindfulness and meditation, came out at just the right time for me, as I was trying to simplify my life and be more mindful. Or really, less mindful! It's too easy for our minds to focus on everything in front of us, so we're mindful of everything while being truly mindful of nothing. We are easily distracted by social media, a 24-hour news cycle, and all sorts of ways we defeat ourselves and keep from being in the moment. "The Power of Meow" is an excellent reminder to let go of all these unnecessary distractions, breathe, and be in the moment. To not judge ourselves so harshly for our imperfections. To learn how to just be. I've read it twice now on my Kindle, but I also bought the paperback to go with the earlier books in the series. I highly recommend the entire series! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #811,897 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #363 in Religious Mysteries (Books) #446 in Metaphysical & Visionary Fiction (Books) #4,379 in Cozy Animal Mysteries | | Book 3 of 6 | The Dalai Lama's Cat | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (2,191) | | Dimensions | 5.49 x 0.46 x 8.51 inches | | Edition | First Edition | | ISBN-10 | 1401946240 | | ISBN-13 | 978-1401946241 | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Language | English | | Print length | 216 pages | | Publication date | June 16, 2015 | | Publisher | Hay House LLC | ## Images ![The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Power of Meow - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81lMxu4CN1L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautifully written and most enlightening! *by M***Y on April 23, 2025* This is my 3rd book written by this author. I suppose it helps if you're a cat lover, too, but that's probably not essential for enjoyment of this novel. Engaging characters, believable challenges, sound psychological as well as spiritual insights, and credible transformations unfold through an interesting, well-thought-out plot, narrated by a most appealing cat. The author's a keen observer of both human and feline psychology and behaviour, and if that is a result of the meditative practices described in the story, sign me up! ## Frequently Bought Together - The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Power of Meow - The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Art of Purring - The Dalai Lama's Cat and The Four Paws of Spiritual Success (Dalai Lama's Cat Series) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/15930088-the-dalai-lamas-cat-and-the-power-of-meow](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/15930088-the-dalai-lamas-cat-and-the-power-of-meow) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
