The cooler plugs into the round piece. **Q: This Adapter is 5 Amps, and some people find it gets hot. I see there are some Adapters that are 10 Amps. Can I use one of these 10 Amp Adapters?** A: Yes, if a power supply unit can supply 10 amps it will handle a load (like the cooler) that only needs 5 amps easily. It too may warm up under a load, but I don't think they should be getting so hot that there's concerns of the plastic melting or such. **Q: COuld this be used for a sirius radio, specs 9-16 V DC 500mA (max) audio output 1.0 Vrms (max)** A: I don't know. I don't think I would try it with a sirius radio until I checked the radio specs.
