I was SHOCKED at how light they, and a little skeptical of their strength. That being said, I had no problems walking my 75 pound black lab and 50 pound plott hound on two of these, with no pinch collars. The handles are incredibly soft and the designs (I got Aloha for my boy and Southwest for my girl) were gorgeous.I am SO excited to take these on the beach with us, they will be absolutely perfect for running in the ocean and not carrying 5 pounds of sand back on the leash. The only minor drawback is I wish I had purchased the 4' length rather than the 6', as it was slightly long for urban walking.
