So I settled on shirts, since I will be traveling to the desert.Choose this T-shirt, figuring I could wear it under a light sleeveless jacket or polo or Hawaiian shirt, and the 'bamboo polo' (also from Amazon, reviewed separately) as an outer garment.I ordered the XX version (there is more of me that it used to be), and the shirt fits nicely, maybe a little on the spacious, but this is before washing (being 100% cotton I expect some shrinkage). It is definitively a heavy material; quite soft and comfortable on the skin. But it is heavy and thick, which makes it impractical as an undergarment except in winter or cold climates. Of the "three" pockets, only one (that on the left chest) is likely to see much use. The other two pockets are quite small; one sits just above the wearer's right hip, the other in front of the right shoulder. Both are too small to contain anything larger than a credit card or a mini-sized cell phone or a few folded dollar bills without giving away to every onlooker their contents. The zipper sitting at hip level makes it uncomfortable to wear the T-shirt tucked inside one's trousers.Altogether the design is very impractical, IMHO; would have preferred two spacious, zippered, shoulder-level or chest-level pockets.Could not discuss how it washes and wears out because I am returning without using it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great travel shirt, but first one had stitching problem *by J***B on April 19, 2019* I bought this shirt for long distance travel so that I could keep my passport and valuables on me. It worked great for this purpose. The shirt is soft and comfortable, despite the zippers. I held my passport in the front pocket and cash/bank card at the shoulder. The lower pocket is not very useful.However, I'm not sure about the quality. The seam at one of the pockets came undone after just a couple days of wear, so I contacted the seller and replaced the shirt. My second shirt has been just fine, and I haven't had any problems with it.I normally wear medium shirts, and I bought a Large of this. It was a bit on the large side for me so the sizes seem to be pretty accurate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super soft! Great hidden pockets. *by D***L on October 11, 2017* Super soft! Love the fabric. This is unisex so the small ran large on me (I normally wear ladies small). I bought it to wear in Europe and it will be perfect with skinnies and coat. Love the zipper pockets as they will keep my money safe.
