I expected it to be small but not tiny. It arrives in pretty minimalist packaging...which is a good thing as I hate cutting stuff free of a thousand layers of crap that is just going straight in the bin/recycling.So initial impression besides the size? No cover for the actual port and only the thin metal body to protect the circuit board gave me a few doubts, these proved unfounded as this has lived on my keyring with a bunch of keys in various pockets and bags with zero problems. I haven't tested the "waterproof" claim and don't plan to.The gate in the clip has a nice strong spring to it and I can't see it coming off my keys accidentally. Its been on and off my keyring repeatedly during the everyday use and so far there is no sign of any weakening of the spring/clip.As for transfer speeds...I haven't noticed any major slowdowns when I've transferred files onto it. I thought about testing the actual upload/download rates but in all honesty if speed was a major concern for you then you wouldn't be looking at USB flash drives around this price point.
