As a result of these conditions she is extremely sensitive to noise and on her really bad days would even struggle to lift her cutlery. Using metal cutlery during family mealtimes was one of the things that would cause her physical pain. As mealtimes are an important part of our family life, I started researching an alternative that wasn't plastic and the idea for bamboo stemmed from there. After sourcing the best quality bamboo we could find and having our cutlery set made, we were very excited to try it out and the changes have been remarkable! We now have lovely, quiet and peaceful mealtimes that my wife can fully enjoy. No more sounds of metal knives and forks hitting off each other or forks scraping on plates, which is something that probably irritates most of us! It is also super lightweight which is another huge benefit to her. Our children also love it and we now use nothing else at home. We have used it many times now when friends and family have joined us for meals and they have been pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable eating with bamboo cutlery is. I bought this set for my new caravan. Very lightweight and very beautiful. Great for the caravan but also for days out and picnics. The little fabric pouch was especially useful for the picnic bag. The cutlery is very beautifully crafted. Highly recommended.
