It's constructed from premium 3 oz seal brown Italian horsehide, which is tough as nails. The Brown Horsehide Leather A-2 Bomber Jacket will only be produced in limited numbers, so don't miss your chance to own this authentic piece of aviation history. Made in the USA. Our Brown Horsehide Leather A-2 Bomber features 100% Horsehide leather, snap-down collar, collar clip, stitched-down epaulets, front cargo pockets, mil-spec brass zipper, one-piece back, brown poly-cotton lining, and knit cuffs & waistband. Note: This jacket, like the original WWII version, does NOT have side-entry hand warmer pockets or interior pockets. History of the A-2: The Type A-2 flying jacket was standardized by the U.S. Army Air Corps as the successor to the Type A-1 flying jacket in 1931. The A-2 has sturdy snaps and reinforced pockets, a snap down shirt-style collar that could be closed completely in order to protect the pilot from the wind. In addition, it replaced the A-1′s buttoned front with a zipper for added protection against the elements in the open cockpit. NOTE: A signature upon delivery is required for this item.
