I am so glad I did. I also put wooden posts inside the vinyl sleeves, for extra support.I also purchased decorative feet and decorative molding to accent my pergola. I am so glad I did that because my concrete patio was very uneven. So in order to level the pergola structure, I had to raise the PVC post sleeves an inch or two. I secured the posts with a few screws. The decorative feet hid the corrective measures I had to take, in order to make the pergola, stable and level.
