I have one 4" Flowerhorn. In each canister I fill the 3 trays with BioHome SuperBio Gravel, 6lbs in each canister... 18lbs total across the 3. I leave the sponges in the left tray for mechanical filtration. I place a thin layer poly fiber floss at the top below the intake/outtake. I'm noticing my Nitrate levels to be around 10ppm constant. For this to help control Nitrates you will need a lot of this stuff, over what is recommended on their website. Highly recommended.
