I've used these for many years, and believe they are better at cleaning dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc than any other cleaning scrub. They are non-abrasive to delicate surfaces, but the roughness of the surface allows for more thorough cleaning. They do "soften" after a while --which does not impede their effectiveness. In fact, it is easier to use them after they have softened a bit from use. Golden Fleece used to be available widely in grocery stores. But, for some reason, they are not usually carried in grocery stores anymore. You will typically have to buy them at good hardware stores (not the big box stores, though). Ace, Do It, etc hardware stores will typically carry. The Golden Fleece scrubs are useful for much more than washing dishes -- which may be why hardware stores carry the product.
