Review: Great Bike But Had To Return - Reading the 1 star reviews I don't agree with any of them. The battery lasts fairly long and can last longer if you don't always have it on full blast! The bike has fast pick up and it goes around 18 miles an hour, not 11. The folding is very easy and I guess it's heavy but it's also a solid bike with a frame that's literally a handle so I felt moving it around and folding it was very easy. Meaning, this bike was designed with commuting in mind and is very effective. I had a folding bike before and this one is easier. I love the headlight and it's a comfortable ride. The bike is useable without power BUT the small wheels limit the amount of joy in riding it without power. The gears help a little but small wheels are small wheels. No matter how many gears you stick on it, you'll only go so far per rotation so it only goes so fast. I felt the ride on full throttle was comparable to an e-scooter. Oh and it will get you up a very steep hill. You can also use the peddling to compensate if the hill is super steep. I rode it up the side of a mountain road. WHY did I return it and only give it four stars? Brakes squeak like crazy. Support told me ways to adjust but I don't want a new bike that I had to fix. If the next one squeaks I like the bike enough that I'll keep it and work through the squeak but that was a real bummer. Other than that I really like it. Another bonus is that the battery and light are built into the frame so nobody can really steal anything off you. Again, they thought of a lot to make this a great commuter bike. Update--got a new bike and the brakes do not squeak! So I was sent a bad bike. Update 2--two years later. Added a bike rack for a saddle bag and also a post for a trailer/and a bike trailer. Both of them work well with the bike. The bike was getting flats more than normal so my bike guy put in that no flat foam (green) and I haven't had flat in over a year of daily use. Brakes will go every five months. This might have to do with the fact that I am always driving this on high speed and the brakes have to slow it down. Other than that I still think it's a great bike. I would like maybe a bike with bigger wheels but then it defeats the purpose of the small size. On that note I did buy a bag to put the bike in when it's folded, which is great for ubers and buses if anyone gives you any crap just say it's an English horn. And finally, I did have a battery issue which was making the bike jolt. Customer service walked me through what might be wrong. I bought a replacement battery and the problem went away. Customer service isn't bad. They guy on the phone just doesn't come off as chatty but he knows what you're talking about and will help you out. If you do need to send it back they will pay for delivery shipping after they fix it (post warranty) but not to send it to them. It's actually cheaper to ship to them then take it to a local place because many places don't have the parts for this bike. That being said, Swagtron does have parts issue if you have an older version of the bike. They released different types of these bikes but they look the same and are called the same model.
Review: So Much Fun - This bike is more fun than functional, in my opinion. I love zipping up and down my street, or riding to the corner store for some cold ones instead of getting in the truck. As a daily commuter, I wouldn't buy it. The tires are very small, making it handle like a kick scooter with some pedals and a seat. The horn is not robust enough for traffic, it sounds like a power wheels toy horn or something you'd zip tie to your bicycle. It's funny as heck, riding by someone walking their dog and giving them a "meep meep" like some kinda ridiculous impersonation of Road Runner. The headlight is pretty nice. It's bright and sleek looking. There's an abundance of reflectors on the bike, but make sure they're all secured. One flew off while my kid was whipping around. Overall, this thing is a whopping riot of fun, I'll never regret the purchase. If, however, I were doing more than a mile to work daily, I'd rather have a regular adult size bicycle. Torque is great, as with any electrical motor. I'm 205 lbs and my neighbor is about 250 plus, it takes off effortlessly. Up small grades, it doesn't flinch. Speed setting 1 tops out at about 12 mph, setting 3 got me up to 18.5 mph. We messed around for an hour or so, taking turns and playing with the different features, and only lost a quarter of battery life. The paint job looks great, assembly was a breeze, it's lightweight and easy to store and transport. Fold it in half and throw it in the trunk in case of a breakdown, or just have a blast on your neighborhood block. I love it. Nuff said. On a sidenote, I'm saving all the packaging for a while in case of any issues. Other reviewers state that with any problems, even a flat tire, they want you to ship the entire product back in its original box. Happy Swagging!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I’m 6’1 is that going to be an issue riding the bike?**
A: YES THIS WILL BE AN ISSUE. The specs state (and I can confirm) that this bike (as shipped) supports persons 5 foot 10 inches and shorter. I am 5 foot 11 and the seat will not adjust quite high enough to make the most of pedaling capability. That said, one could simply replace the seat post with one slightly larger (like the 31.6mm "corki bike seat post" on Amazon for $11 dollars.).

**Q: Can this climb 25 degree slopes with the electric assistance?**
A: Yep, and *even* more! I’ve ridden all of San Francisco and it’s most notorious hills. Heck I took it on a speed run down Lombard after drag racing it down the top of California street during the evening where traffic is nonexistent.

I trialed 6 ebikes, and with some minor adjustment (break system ahem) I found this to be the absolute best all around for a hill climb. I can do market to the top of nob hill with zero peddling.... not just assist... zero, just the bike doing it’s thing.

**Q: Can a standard bike rack be attached to this bike? If not, can one be puchased from Swagtron?**
A: Yes, I have added the Lumintrail Bike Commuter Carrier Rack w/Seatpost Quick Release found here on Amazon. Looks great and allows me to mount my small rear cargo bag to carry my extra battery. I also added a mirror because I wasn't comfortable not being able to see those electric cars sneaking up on me. You need to go with a bar end type mirror because there is really not enough room on the handlebars to mount a regular mirror. Plus the bars are narrow which doesn't allow the mirror to stick out far enough to see around your body.

**Q: Where can I buy a new charger?**
A: Probably Amazon since they sell the bike but personally didn't look for one when buying my swagtron

### ⭐ Fraudulent Company & Bizzare Customer Service
*by A***R on December 19, 2024*

First off, the bike is actually really cool. It’s small, fast, and easy to take into locations to prevent theft. However, the bike will break down within a year, and the customer service is extremely poor. My first bike broke down within a year, so I exchanged it for a new one. Unfortunately, the replacement also broke down. I can’t buy a replacement battery, and the brakes don’t work. It’s completely unreasonable for an $800 bike to fail so quickly, especially without any after-sales support. When I contacted their customer service about exchanging the bike through Amazon, in line with the warranty, they accused me of fraud. Uh, okay… hahaha.
