Bar is not connected to the chain as usual bar necklaces, it slides on the chain through a hole in the center of the bar which does make the back clasp section come around to the front sometimes. This is so cute but cheap and not even worth the $8 considering I never even got to wear it once and it's been an absolute hassle.
