The stainless steel is solid and looks great. The polyclad bottoms heat quickly and evenly. The non-stick ceramic surface is a joy to cook on and a breeze to clean. I've never owned a stainless steel or ceramic cookware set, or had a glass top stove, before so I researched proper care and maintenance of both. Following the simple recommendations (i.e., cook on low heat, preheat the oil or butter in the pan before adding food, and let the pans cool before cleaning), I've had no problems at all. Best of all, my food tastes like it's "cleaner" than when I cooked with teflon coated non-stick pans. I look forward to cooking with this set almost as much as I look forward to eating what I make with it.
