It allows you to block out noise and light creating your own oasis. Nice if traveling on a plane or train. I mostly wanted them to listen to podcasts and music at night while blocking out my SO’s snoring. They’re surprisingly comfortable and the battery life is fantastic. The sound is pretty good. If you’re an audiophile you aren’t going to pick these to listen to your favorite album— but it works great for casual listening. They’re not super comfy for extended periods on your side and since that’s my preferred position to sleep, I end up taking these off after a while. They’re also great light blockers, easy to charge and lightweight to carry. For a plane I think these would be amazing!
