QNAP TVS-672N-i3-4G-US 6 Bay NAS with 5GbE, Intel Core i3, Dual PCIe and Dual M.2 Slots, 4GB DDR4 memory, USB Type-C Ports, Supports SSD Cache

I had been using a TS-251 for storing backups and my media library. I decided that I wanted to install Plex server to enhance my entertainment experience. My 2 bay QNAP couldn't do a very good job so I installed Plex server on my desktop computer which did great but then I had to keep it powered on whenever I wanted to stream to another device.As I was running low on space anyway I did some research and decided to purchase the TVS-672N-i3-4G-US. I have not been disappointed. I've used it to stream media to multiple devices with no slow down and smooth playback. The newer generation USB ports are great for transferring data from external SSD drives to the QNAP. The 5GbE port is nice but unfortunately I don't have a switch or any devices running faster than 1Gb but I appreciate the option to upgrade in the future.Had this QNAP up and running for months now without a single complaint. Very pleased with my purchase.

I am not an IT guy, but needed a NAS for my work and home use. Yes a luxury, but needed the drive for work. Created Raid 6 in no time. User interface easy to use, and has all the necessary sub apps for whatever you might need.Great unit all the way around. Very quiet!

This is the second QNAP device I’ve purchased and I’m just as happy with this one as I was the first one. Set up is easy and maintaining is a breeze. Some of the apps available for it take a little getting used to, but they do work well. One of the reasons I upgraded to this model was for setting up a Plex server. The previous model would work, but would have some difficulty with transcoding some videos. This one has the power needed and has, so far, had no issues.

This is my first NAS by QNAP and by far the best one I’ve used. Simply put, they thought of everything I could ever need or want. Upgradable CPU, upgradable RAM, 2 PCI express slots... you name it, it has it. 10 stars

I purchased this unit 3 years ago and even though it had light use, it failed and now QNAP wants $580 to repair it (and that does not even cover all the expected expenses)! It probably ran 50% of the time I owned it so it was definitely not overworked or over-heated (I kept in in a cool spot and monitored the temperature). A huge waste of money and a lousy company that does not stand by their products!! AVOID QNAP!!!

This was the #1 choice for running a Plex Media server and I have to agree it does a fantastic job running Plex and streaming 4k videos to my tv's. Some of the other hidden features are quite difficult to get running though. The online documentation is sparse and not very helpful in explaining what the settings do specifically. The vendor sponsored videos on YouTube are some of the worst videos I have every tried to watch. They also do not explain details of the product or go into how to configure anything in details that would make it useful to the average user.

Great product. Does everything you can think of, even more. Great speed

My Qnap stopped working completely 2 days after warranty and they wanted over $500 to fix. Not worth it.
