Included with the attachments was a Beater Blade. I took it out and saw the blade had broken. I don't know how Mom broke it, but after reading the product reviews on Amazon, I ordered a new one. When it arrived, the package said "Lifetime Guarantee." I wrote to New Metro Design, and told them my situation. I don't know how it broke, and frankly, didn't think they would replace it. THEY DID! And gave me a newer model! So, if anyone is wondering whether they should take a chance and buy this excellent tool (many reviews have wondered if it would last), know that you are buying from a company that stands behind its products. It is both an excellent tool (I've only used it to make cookies, but it works GREAT!) AND an excellent company.
