**Q: can i leave this on my harley all winter ?**
A: I use the Battery Tender® Plus 12V, 1.25 Amp on my motorcycle and the Battery Tender 6V/12V, 4 Amp Lead Acid & Lithium Selectable Battery Charger on my Car. I leave them on both vehicles for extended amounts of time during the cold months.

**Q: Can i leave this on while im out of town for a month?**
A: By all means.  This device is intended to be connected for continuous operation (except for driving of course - be careful to unhook before getting in your vehicle.  The design has a microprocessor that senses battery storage and will adjust the trickle to keep it at 100% (but not overcharging).  In fact, you should not disconnect it for any reason unless driving the vehicle.  I have a lawn tractor that only receives sporadic use.  My zero turn does most of the lawn mowing.  In any event, I keep both of these machines on a Deltran dual bank tender.  Their batteries are several years old which is unusual for a lawn mower.  (Typically, they fail shortly after the 12 Mo warranty.)  Leave it on to do its job.  Keep in mind that most vehicles (cars & trucks) draw a small amount of amperage while sitting - security system & clock.  The tender will compensate for this discharge.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Does this unit detect cold weather and charge to help prevent battery freezing ?**
A: It does not detect cold weather. If it is on the battery and maintaining the voltage, the battery is less likely to freeze.

**Q: will it charge lead acid batteries?**
A: Absolutely, all mine are of that type.
