Our totes are 18 gallon opaque and all different colors. The idea was to put one of these on each tote in the middle so I can place a 3" x 5" note card notating what was in each tote. These pockets are amazing! They fit in the middle of each total and they stay put. I've had them on for almost a year now and they've held up great. It's so convenient to have my totes labeled. No longer are the hours spent opening each tote to find out what's on the inside.The caveat: a standard 3" x 5" note card doesn't fit without being trimmed.
