The only thing I did was when I was putting it together I used high temp silicon to seal the to main pieces and seal the chimney and all bolt holes with the silicon..zero smoke leaks..(I'm a retired Executive Chef). Well made and super user friendly. I would only suggest using a heat resistant sealant when putting together where the screws go as some have mentioned grease build up can cause leaks.
