Had I listened to the reviews that said the stand comes off, I'd have missed out on a great stand. For one thing, while it is allegedly removable, I never had a reason to, so where I put it it has remained. In fact, I just purchased the new Apple keyboard with Touch ID, because I needed to upgrade my MAC computer, and tried to remove the stand from my old keyboard and it was not coming off easy, so I left it on it since I will continue using my old keyboard with my older computer. I am sure had I wanted to I could have removed it. Allegedly, you wash it and it sticks back on, but I never really needed to do that, so I cannot attest to that. Immediately, after I put the stand on my keyboard, the difference was amazing. The heigh is adjustable. The little legs prop up and 'lock' in various angles, separate from the larger legs, so you have a choice. When you first take the stand out of the box it may seem a bit bulky, but if you have a completely flat (and thin) keyboard, it is JUST the right height without even having to lift the little stand legs for more angle. The angle was perfect as is, it is stable, you do not even see it, and it is easy to stick to the keyboard. The design is very good as well. I cannot speak for the negative reviewer experiences, but mine has been so good, I just bought a second stand for my new keyboard. I really like it, it works great and my typos have decreased considerably.
