This product is safer, easier to use, and more effective than a box cutter for unpacking Amazon deliveries. The metal notch is absolutely perfect for slicing through tape, the pointy end pops packing air sacs in a flash, and the sharp blade slot comes in handy for padded envelopes and soft plastic product wrap.It's safer for you when you're opening stuff, it's safer for kids and pets who find it, and it's safer for your product as it's unpacked!I'm handing these out to friends and family. Honestly Amazon should send one out free when you pay for a year of Prime. It makes the experience of receiving Amazon orders a million times easier.Note: a box cutter is still needed if you want to shred the cardboard afterward, such as for fitting it into your recycling bin. I use them at work and at home. the blade in the hook is good for slicing through packing tape, or for tearing open those poly shipping bags, or evening slicing the tabs off of boxes to leave the top open. The tiny blade at the back is good for cutting through tape seems. You can even turn this thing around and stick the handle in a glued together box seem and slide it through to break the adhesive loose. Very handy! Now if the other people at work would quick taking my cooking knives and using them to open boxes and leaving them dull. :/ ..
