The first time it worked great. The second time the cable feeding the left wheel broke and the chair had to be used manually the whole week we were on the ship which severely restricted my ability to move around on and off the ship. I sent a message to the seller but have not gotten a reply. The mechanic on the ship looked at it and said the cable had wrapped itself around the inside of the wheel. There were more expensive chairs that were light weight, but we didn't want to invest too much for, hopefully, a temporary situation.The wheel chair itself if snazzy! Gold frame, comfy seat, The arm rests are poorly designed: they merely sit on a bracket that does nothing to hold them in place. We ended up duck taping the armrests to the frame. Problem solved. The worst issue he has with the wheelchair is the joystick. When he first gets in to go somewhere, it refuses to budge. Battery full, power on- it just sits there for several seconds, and doesn't always respond when he wants it to turn. Doesn't sound like a real problem, but if he has to go to the bathroom, he needs it to move immediately. My husband is very adapt at maneuvering the wheelchair, once it gets going.
