I chose the 5 gallon size because I have dogs. Having tried every other product on the market I have found this one to be far superior. Any recommendations on application of product. Then using in carpet cleaner?** A: For pet urine in carpet the best results come when using a carpet cleaning machine. The key to getting the smell out is also getting it out of the padding which the chemicals in Genesis 950 will do. Using a machine you are able to saturate the carpet and padding with the Genesis 950 and then water which will get rid of the odor. I followed the directions included by pre-treating the stains with a 50/50 solution spray, which I let sit overnight. I then did a 50/50 in my carpet cleaner and let that sit for about 40 minutes before rinsing with water only. The first picture is after the pre-treating which alone lightened the stains. We used it in our Bissell steam carpet cleaner, two cups per fill and it took up new and old pet stains - we have a 15 year old dog who is incontinent. Then half and half on the stove. From there I went with half and half on tile floor spot cleaning, on countertops, all over the bathrooms. And one of my favorite is spot treating clothes before they go into the wash. Next project is to use it to clean tile grout before sealing. So now, I am using it for pretty much everything except taking a bath. We have all sorts of cleaning products from Home Depot and a janitorial supply company, but I like this the best.
