Bought my house about 8 years ago and the garage door lock wasn't in working order. Garage door itself was in good shape and didn't want to replace the whole door. After searching around I'm happy to have found the right part. And no stores in my area carried a part like this. As said in a previous review the holes on this replacement lock may not line up with the factory drilled holes on your door. I did have to drill new ones and make some small adjustments.
