Strong and rugged, this non-slip, retractable bumper step quickly flips down with the nudge of a foot providing a faster, easier and safer way to load or unload your pickup’s cargo. Supports up to 300 lbs. Frame mounts under the rear bumper so it works even with an open tailgate or when towing. Proudly made in the USA with global materials.

Review: Good step, install should be done with 2 people. - This is a good sturdy step. It comes with a big bracket the instructions leave something to be desired but are ok. I'd suggest watching a video on Youtube of how to install the Mopar step and then relate it to the instructions for this step, it makes them much more understandable so you can relate the instructions to what you'll see under the truck. If one can't put their vehicle on a lift (it isn't needed) this install is done easiest with 2 people. The bracket is quite heavy and it was next to impossible for me to start the upper screw into the bumper brace without assistance. You'll want 2 people for this part, one to hold the brace and one to start the screw. The difficulty was increased because you needed to put the socket on the bolt before you attempted to start the screw it in. We found it next to impossible to get the socket on the bolt by just trying to hold the brace in place. After we got this in the rest was very easy.
Review: Truck bed assistance - The truck is just too high for me to climb into the bed easily so I had to purchase a step. This was the answer to a big problem that was destroying my leg muscles. Had it professionally installed locally, which was quick & not too expensive (it was a little tricky but that's what makes it durable & secure). You will want to factor this into your purchase price. I wish I had done this ages ago--my life has improved dramatically. The step is out of the way and easily accessible.--looks great tucked under the bumper on the driver's side. Some deep thought went into its design. (We were just going to get a ladder , which would have been cheaper, but learned that it gets in the way & is a pain all way around.) This functions the way it should and with ease. Just a note, that it can't easily be installed on the passenger side owing to the exhaust pipe-I'm sure there's a work around for that as it makes more sense to be able to climb in the bed on the right side of the truck--but that was not meant to be on the RAM. We love this step!

This is a good sturdy step. It comes with a big bracket the instructions leave something to be desired but are ok. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits well and easy to install

I ordered the step in order to get up into the back of my new 2019 Ram 2500 Megacab. I looked at various kind of steps online and thought these looked good and I did not have to take my hitch on and off for a step. Expensive though for sure. They are very sturdy and made from heavy steel. It took me about 30 minutes to put them on. No big deal at all. Everything lined up and bolted right together. The only real issue I had to look over was the lower plug for the back up sensors. It looked like initially it would be in the way. It ended up not being an issue. The step bracket cleared it all around. The top plug did have to be removed and plugged into the two holes on the step bracket. All in all, from unboxing to install it was about an hour. I used it and it is sturdy. The whole left side drops when I get on the step, not just the step. My wife is 5 foot tall and she had no issue getting up to the bumper with this step. I am satisfied, but again expensive. Amp Research really likes their stuff and prices it accordingly.
