The plastic drive shaft and auger failed on the first use. I sent it back immediately. I purchased this machine at nearly 3X the price. It is well made and works as advertised. It can go through a VERY LARGE bowl of tomatoes in about 5 minutes. I do recommend cutting the tomatoes into smaller pieces. One can force large tomatoes in with the plunger.... but why do that? If you cut them a bit smaller the machine eats them right up. The only three things that are disappointing are the price, the fact that one cannot purchase such a machine that is USA made, and it will only work on tomatoes. I tried blackberries........total fail. They will not go through. Something about the seed size causes a huge issue with the auger. It is easy to wash when finished. I can disassemble the machine and wash it all in less than 10 minutes. Some of the seeds and skin do to get stuck in the screen. After washing I take it to the garage and blow all the stuck pieces out with compressed air. If you don't have compressed air, clean-up of the screen will be a LITTLE tougher. I would recommend this machine to anyone. It works great on tomatoes (only). Review: and the like mixed in - This machine is a beast. On a flat surface it is pretty quiet. I moved it to my 3 bay commercial sink which vibrates a bit and makes a bit more sound but I feel this machine is probably one of the best I have had.
