It’s not very lightweight but it feels warm and very stylish.I hear this style is really popular with upper east side moms.It has a cute orange lining. The quality is fairly nice but I wouldn’t say high quality. The hood is lined with a Sherpa fabric and the fur seems warm but synthetic looking. We recently had some super-cold weather + rain in So. California.I went hunting Amazon for popular coat designs that would be perfect for me to walk dogs and also wear when I am doing errands when it's cold or raining.This coat/parka is EVERYTHING I wanted in a coat: deep pockets with zippers, regular pockets without; a snap and zipper front so that I don't have to worry about a bit of cold penetrating the jacket. The parka has: 90% White Duck Down; 10% Feathers and it is high-density, waterproof and wind resistant plus gathered cuffs that will keep your arms warm. The Sherpa-lined hood has snaps to fold a portion of the hood away from your face if you want. It keeps your neck and head warm too. The actual design is a blend of parka meets coat with the really deep useable pocket so eliminate the need for taking a purse. Plus this parka is mid-thigh length with side zippers in case you need open more space to sit comfortably. I love wearing this parka because I can get away without a ton of layers being worn, I wear a tee-shirt and leggings.. and I am really warm. It's so easy for me to walk my dogs wearing this because I pop my smart phone in one pocket, dog waste bags in another, treats in another pocket along with a travel dog bowl for water. And I still have room to pick up things like a random ball or someone who issharing the wealth of their lemon crop. I can easily fit 5 lemons in a single pocket. The parka comes in neutral colors as well as a bright red! Perfect for being visible when it's dark.The price is great and I highly recommend it. (I bought an XS and it's quite roomy.
