In this day and age of software based controllers, why would you want to use a board? I busk, I have always busked. Not against software. I use them. I am just more comfortable busking my own shows. Oh I am not a DJ. I work with Bands and Theatre. Pros well-constructed. As of today the faders have held up and tracked correctly (shows the correct DMX count or percentage). Look at the power plug. It is well designed with an external deeper recess that will hold the square plug snug. Not like a laptop power plug that won't stay connected anymore because you hit it too many times. The programing takes a bit to get use to but not difficult. Tons of YouTube how-to. Cons these are not cons because I could not find anything bad about this controller. I just want you to be aware. The Fog / Hazer button is really great, but only a handful of compatible units will work. Download the pdf manual to see the list. Also the buttons on the board click load....So if you are in a recording of any kind. the mics will pic it up. Below is a list of what I bought on desertcart to protect the board. Pedal Board Case ATA 34" Storage Rack The board is in the lid ( I moved the case feet to the lid) of the road case. Attached to a U shaped ¾” light weight wood screwed down through the outside holding the case feet. I use the piano stand to hold up the bottom of the case like a table then placing the case lid on top. The lift hinges I put two boards with a piano hinge so the case will close. The lid id deep enough to store cables and hardware like DMX dongles and patch cables. The software gives you 4 free universes. The board connects to PC and out the ethernet jack to a ArtNet dongle to 3 DMX universes.
