**Q: Does this pan contain aluminum?**
A: The bottom of the pan is a clad base.  It is a sandwich comprised of a layer of stainless steel, layer of aluminum, layer of stainless steel.  The vessel of the pan is stainless steel.  At the factory, the vessel is attached to the base.  The aluminum between the two layers of stainless steel does not come in contact with the food, but is needed to evenly distribute the heat.

I like this line of cookware. Great price on a warehouse deal. It was discounted because of some minor imperfections on the welding of the handle. Some minor polishing took care of the imperfections. Pans aluminum core heats up quickly and keeps the temperature.
