It offers a comfortable fit, adjustable straps, and a unique design that allows for greater freedom of movement while effectively preventing access to wounds. ## Description The Novaguard has been designed as an alternative to the Elizabethan Collar or Buster Collar. This alternative allows the animal 85% greater freedom of movement. It fits comfortably on the animals head not unlike a baseball cap and moves with the animal rather than just hanging loosely around the animals neck. The Novaguard is designed to create a barrier to stop the animal accessing wounds or other conditions and after surgery or trauma. The Novaguard is manufactured in six sizes from Miniature, Toy, Small, Small/Medium, Medium and Large and is made from semi transparent polypropylene plastic. The Miniature and Toy is also offered in a soft transparent PVC plastic. The design incorporates a head rest which cushions and allows space between the inner surface of the Vizor and the animals face allowing for greater air flow and comfort. Provisor has designed the Novaguard to be suitable for animals with larger heads by adjusting the side straps. This adjustment increases the opening size for animals with a greater collar size. The peel off lines on the snout of the Novaguard have been incorporated as an adjustment means for animals with a shorter snout. (Simply snip and peel off). The Novaguard is easily cleaned with warm soapy water and dried with a towel The Novaguard has been designed to accommodate dogs with a Occipital Bone of Prominence. An advantage of the Novaguard over the E-Collars is the patients ears are outside the visor and therefore helps maintain ear health and dryness. ## Features - Designed as Alternative to Elizabethan Collar: Allows 85% greater freedom of movement - Comfortable Fit with Adjustable Straps: Fits comfortably on the animal's head like a baseball cap - Prevents Access to Wounds or Conditions: Designed to create a barrier to stop the animal from accessing wounds or other conditions - Incorporates Head Rest for Comfort: Cushions and allows space between the inner surface of the Vizor and the animal's face - Easy to Clean and Maintain: Easily cleaned with warm soapy water and dried with a towel - Accommodates Dogs with Larger Heads: Adjustable side straps increase the opening size for animals with a greater collar size ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00GULRZQA | | Best Sellers Rank | #312,566 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #9,775 in Basic Dog Collars | | Brand | Provizor | | Brand Name | Provizor | | Closure Type | Velcro | | Color | clear | | Customer Reviews | 3.6 out of 5 stars 28 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Large | | Fit Type | Snug Fit | | Manufacturer | Jack's | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1928 LARGE | | Material | Plastic, Polypropylene (PP) | | Material Type | Plastic, Polypropylene (PP) | | Target Species | Dog | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Provizor - **Color:** clear - **Material:** Plastic, Polypropylene (PP) - **Closure Type:** Velcro - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Post-surgery recovery for dogs ## Images ![Novaguard Recovery Collar Canine, Large 72-99 lbs, Head Measurement 8.3-9.4 inches - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61V6OzuK0AL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Review *by J***K on February 24, 2014* ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by Y***. on February 15, 2023* ### ⭐⭐ Review *by S***N on January 9, 2025* ## Frequently Bought Together - Provizor Novaguard Recovery Collar Canine, Large 72-99 lbs, Head Measurement 8.3-9.4 inches - Hollosport Stretchy Puppy Collars for Litter, 150Pcs Assorted Adjustable Identification Loops for Newborn Puppies and Kittens, Bulk Multi Colored Straps for Whelping, 6 Inches - 15 Colors - BOUMUSOE 16pcs Puppy ID Collars Whelping Collars Adjustable Puppy ID Bands Identification Puppy Collar for Dog Kitten Newborn Pet, Multi Coloured --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/16261070-novaguard-recovery-collar-canine-large-72-99-lbs-head-measurement](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/16261070-novaguard-recovery-collar-canine-large-72-99-lbs-head-measurement) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
