It makes the perfect house plant. It is common for some leaves to yellow and drop in shipping. This will not affect the overall health of the plant and they will quickly resprout new leaves.

**Q: how tall is the tree when shipped**
A: Approximately 30 inches but was not at all braided and had four root systems of which one was not at all close to the other three.

**Q: Why do leaves turn yellow**
A: Hi. Usually it means that the tree isn't getting enough water.  I've stuck my finger in the pot as much as I can to see if it's truly dry at the roots.  If it's really dry, it may need a good soak, but just for a day or so.  Google Search has helpful answers beyond what I can suggest. Best wishes.

**Q: Can this be placed outdoors in southern California climate?**
A: yes, if it is inland.i have 4 ficus trees in my yard in the san fernando valley. they are all healthy. 2 have growen higher than my roof.
