## Description

Mission Power USB cable allows you to power your Fire TV Stick directly from your TV's USB port. It's the quickest and simplest way to set up your Fire TV Stick. Mission Power USB cable includes proprietary circuitry that stores excess power from the USB port and then releases it during brief intervals when the Fire TV's power load exceeds the power output capability of the USB port. In this way the Mission Power USB power cable is able to increase the peak power capability of your TV's USB port. With Mission Power, even low power 500mA USB ports can support the peak power requirements required for downloading and watching videos, gaming, et

Review: Great with only one problem (for me) - This USB power cord is a great idea, elegantly designed and when the TV is on works perfectly. As all the 5 star reviews say, it powers the Fire Stick, saves an outlet (the wall plug is pretty big), reduces cord clutter, etc. The problem I discovered using this with my LG TV is that when the TV is off, the power to the USB port shuts off. This means that if the TV is off for an extended period of time, such as over night or when I'm gone for the weekend, the FireStick runs out of standby power and has to be unplugged and reset every time I turn the TV back on to use it. With the wall charger the FireStick is able to remain in sleep mode and fully powered so that when I turn the TV back on it is ready to wake up and show me my wonderful shows and movies and games. I believe it would be possible to use this cord during an extended TV marathon and fully charge up the FireStick so that it had ample power to standby over night. It may be a smarter use of the $14.99 to buy a power strip that spaces each outlet out more and use the included wall plug. UPDATE: The excellent customer service at Mission contacted me (based on my desertcart review alone) and is working to fix the issue I mentioned. Will add more info once I try their solution. UPDATE 2: The Mission Power USB Cables work really well on two of the three TVs in my house. A 24" LG and a 32" Panasonic both power up the FireTV Stick via the Mission USB cable beautifully. The 39" LG (model 39LN5300) just doesn't want to give it the power it needs. I can not say enough about how impressed I am with Mission Power USB's excellent customer service! Thank you, Brian. I am going to buy another FireTV Stick to use this cable in another room. Also, I will be careful when buying a new TV and make sure this cable works in it. I have upped my rating to 5 stars because I think this is a problem with one of my TVs and not a problem with this cable.
Review: Solves Power Warning When Attempting Software Update - As others, bought this for use with my desertcart Fire TV Stick on a 2010 Samsung LED/LCD TV. If I tried connecting with simple cable that came with Stick, I get the power warning when attempting to run Software Update. With this cable, Software Updates run fine with no warning and watching hi-def Netflix encounters no problems. Now one thing I realized, when you use the AC adapter, the Fire TV Stick will receive constant power from wall block and unless you hit a button on the remote it will stay in low power sleep. With this cable attached to your TV's USB port, every time you power the TV on or off you will power the Fire TV Stick on or off. So in morning when I turn on the news, I notice the Stick has also powered on and is warm and then eventually goes to sleep mode. Notice that Stick will also auto-update software when powered on, so every time you turn on TV is an opportunity for it to update itself or its apps. Don't see this as a problem, just an artifact of powering the Stick from the TVs USB port.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: When powering on tv it just keeps looping the amazon logo it won't actually boot into the home screen..... works fine with regular usb**
A: I found out that you need to use BOTH the amazon provided plug in and USB cable. What you're seeing is what happens when its trying to update. Go back to the originally provided units and the update will work. Then you can switch back to this device if you like.

**Q: Do i really need it for my fire stick**
A: No, you really don't need it for firestick. Just use the cord and adapter that came with it. I had my firestick for 2 years before this purchase. It's more convenient for me do to that I use the USB on tv for power than outlet plug. Hope this helps.

**Q: Can i take my fire stick camping**
A: Everyone who answered this to date obviously didn't see your pun. But to answer your question, yes, you can take your fire stick camping, but bring extra sticks because they don't have a long burn-time.

**Q: Bought this product haven't hooked up yet can you please tell me if i plug it in to the wifi or the tv?**
A: The Mission Power USB can be plugged into any USB port near the Amazon Fire TV stick. The Fire TV stick gets plugged into your tv's hdmi port and you can either use the wall plug that comes with it or this Mission USB power cable, depending on power outlet availability.

### ⭐ No go with Samsung TVs (several models) and Vizio TV (M70-C3) and firestick (newest model).
*by L***D on January 6, 2016*

I purchased this with hopes of not having to run another cable to my UPS for the firestick however that is not the case. When I installed it on a older Samsung flat screen LED TV the unit work ok, causing the firestick to be laggy at times especially on start up. Upon using the provided power cable these issues were not present. I then installed this product on another Samsung Plasma TV and experienced similar issues but not quite as bad. Lastly I tried the product on a brand new (ok few months old) Vizio M70-C3 TV. When installed on the Vizio I couldn't even get the unit to get past the boot screen before it would restart. It was worth a try but it just didn't work for me.
