It has metric threads so the top bolt fit right in the place where the wire strap goes. The tricky part is to drill and tap for (bottoming tap if you can) or (take the bracket loose that holds the tail gate) 5/16 threaded hole in to the bracket at the bottom. Cut a 5/16 bolt off with a 1/2 inch long shank to fit. I used a rubber washer or a piece of plastic gas line to keep the strut to one side when assembled. Watch carefully as you close the tail gate and adjust accordingly. There are two different lengths of studs. I used the short one (at the top) and there is just enough room to close the tail gate. Also to add strength to the side of the truck, and it needs it, put this 1.5 x 3 x1/8 flat bracket behind the stud. I got the bracket at Menards for $1.99. ### ⭐ Don't work *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2021* Don't work on an 2020 np 300. Can't get tailgate to close, struts going all the way and stopping tailgate can't close. ### ⭐ I am still wondering where instructions and missing parts ARE !!!!!!! *by R*** on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2020* I disliked that my instructions were not in the box MABY BECAUSE IT WAS APPARENTLY A RETURN. I COULD NOT USE BECAUSE OF MISSING PARTS !!!!!!! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/162762767-kanuoc-truck-tailgate-assist-shock-struts-kit-fit-for-nissan](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/162762767-kanuoc-truck-tailgate-assist-shock-struts-kit-fit-for-nissan) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
