The automatic opening part was a good idea except whenever my hand gets near it or goes in front of it it drops my phone! I went to adjust the GPS setting and it release my phone and went under my gas pedal in the middle of traffic. The suction was ok but not great and the whole thing felt like a hot mess. Super frustrated and haven’t used it since I bought it because it drove me nuts. The problem seems to be it falls short of what could be a great product. I like that the grips open and close automatically but it does it unexpectedly like anytime you turn to car off, your very expensive phone goes flying out of the holder if you have one of those vehicles that shuts off the 12v power socket each time the ignition is pressed or turned. Also the fast charger is not fast as stated. It’s more of trickle rather than a flowing river of current. I have an iPhone 11 with a commuter otter box cover. It seems just a bit big for the holder, but the clamps close and hold it in place just fine. The wireless charging works too I just have to make sure the phone is all the way down in the holder.
