I bought it for my girlfriend who has her ears gauged, so she could store her gauges in it, as an alternative to a traditional jewelery box. First impressions of the box were great. The box has an attractive smooth finish, and the elephant is a little tarnished which gives it some character.Now for the downside... it smells horrible. Almost as if it's been soaked in some sort of varnish, strangely similar to gasoline in smell. Be cautious about what you plan on using this for.
