Okay, so this coverlet IS truly big enough for king sized mattress, and more!  The bed I purchased this for is a platform with very deep mattress.  Actually washed & dried hoping to loose a couple of inches in that process - only lost just under a single inch all around.  If you are purchasing for a non-platform bed, go ahead it’s big enough.  This is a SUMMER bedding item.  It’s very lightweight - a bit too much for my personal taste, but am using with an all cotton blanket.  It looks OK - not expensive, but it’s not expensive and it’s size is an asset.

I bought this for my my 4 GSDs to crash on in the kitchen, I chose  the grey which does not show the dirt easily nor the fur shedding by my dogs. This is folded to the desired size and laid on top of a carpet where they can comfortably rest away from high traffic areas. Made of cotton, This can be cleaned in the washer without  a problem.
