So whatever kind of life cycle you’re use to at your gigs with an alkaline, you will go longer with this battery ... but no way to predict how much longer - perhaps 15 to 20% longer. Lithium Ions won’t fade out like alkelines either, once they reach a certain voltage they will simply stop working until you recharge them - because if they are allowed to get to too low of a voltage then they will break down and stop working all together. **Q: Does the the battery have a way to tell if there is a need to recharge it? Does it have an indicator?** A: There is protection circuitry in the battery that simply causes it to stop working at all after it discharges to a low enough voltage. It may have been that the power source was inadequate (I had it on a USB hub in a pinch as opposed to a charging brick). Overall the batteries are good, but I was surprised when I saw the bloated battery on my desk. As for the charge, they are almost on par with standard 9V batteries you would buy in a retail store. They don't last as long as industrial batteries, but work well. If you are looking to use these in a tens unit they won't last too long as far as charge life or overall. I can use these in other things, but the tens seems to have shortened their overall life by quite a bit.
