Speedo's own website only says XXS is a 35" chest, 29 waist, and 33" hip. That is still large for any kid and not perfectly helpful. But we were aiming for a slightly oversize item to give us the maximum number of growing seasons. I think we picked the right size. The overall length cis still above the ankles when standing and the arm sleeves are slightly longer than my child's, enough to cover hands if desired but short enough to be able to easily pull up the sleeves. Bottom line, I received zero complaints after the first post-swim team use on a 40 degree evening. My kid was warm. It clearly provides excellent body heat retention and the extra arm length means a kid's hands and fingers can go turtle-mode to stay warm all over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gives me incentive to swim in the cold *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2019* I got this so I could walk to the pool in our condo. I live in SoCal so I get that it’s not that cold, but it takes the edge off walking to the pool in my swimsuit in 55 degree overcast afternoons. There’s a neat not-so-little pocket just inside the left chest flap that can easily fit your cell phone and house keys. Outside pockets aren’t really large enough to take my slim water bottle, but it mostly stays put. The inside lining doesn’t absorb water very well, but I use a towel to quickly dry down first then put this on and it retains my body heat nicely. I originally debated over getting this versus the The Great Aussie Swim Parka that had a terry towel lining and would have eliminated the need to bring a towel, but I’m glad I got this one instead. The Aussie Parka logo was pretty gaudy so vanity prevailed. But in hindsight, I didn’t want to walk around with a damp towel lined jacket and wet hair. The quality and look of this one turned out nicer than I thought. Happy with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐ Not Unisex and cheap *by K***P on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2018* It is not unisex.
