Can this pen change to the fine or bold pen?** A: No, the pen tips are not interchangeable. I have a set of 3 pens, fine, standard and bold and a separate calligraphy pen. **Q: What temperature does this get to when plugged in?** A: I don't know for sure, but it errs on the side of safer, as opposed to a wood burner's iron. Not that hot or immediate. They have to be plugged in for about 5 minutes before you can start using them to foil reliably. **Q: How hot does the tip get?** A: I’ve touched the tip on accident and definitely burnt myself. I don’t know a specific temperature though. **Q: Will this work on a hardcover book?** A: They should!
